ANDREA_FAZZARIAndrea Fazzari is a Tokyo based international photographer, author, and dining consultant with a background in fashion and film. Her book TOKYO NEW WAVE: The Next Generation of Tokyo Chefs (TenSpeed Press) will be released on March 1, 2018 Worldwide. It is available for pre-order on Amazon. She has written, photographed, and styled this unique 304 page book, her love letter to Japan and its distinct philosophy and approach to food. It includes 435 of her photographs, her insights, interviews, and chef recipes. Andrea is an insider in the city’s food scene, working regularly with Tokyo’s many influential and respected chefs.

Andrea is the photographer and stylist of L’APERITIVO published by Rizzoli and shot entirely on location in Italy. She is also the photographer of BVLGARI | Il Ristorante, published by Assouline and shot in Japan. Her photographs and journaling on six continents as Starwood Hotel Group’s first Global Explorer are featured in the Luxury Collection travel guides published by ASSOULINE. She is also a tastemaker featured in the book HOTEL STORIES published by ASSOULINE.

Andrea has traveled to over 80 countries, and is the recipient of the Lowell Thomas Gold Award for Travel Photography. She photographs campaigns and projects for such companies as Cathay Pacific Airlines and Four Seasons Hotels, and magazines from Travel + Leisure and Vanity Fair, to Architectural Digest and Departures. Recently FOUR Magazine featured Andrea with an interview and her culinary work, and PDN’s Food Issue 2017 selected her as one of the year’s top cookbook photographers.

Andrea is originally from Manhattan, and in addition to Tokyo, has lived in Italy, France and Hong Kong. She speaks English, Italian, French and Spanish. Her photography career began by chance after working in fashion and film public relations for Armani, Dolce & Gabbana and Miramax films. She was named one of PDN’s “30 Photographers to Watch” in 2004.

Since early 2015 she has been living in Tokyo, Japan where she is an insider in the city’s food scene. Regularly photographing many of the most sought after and respected chefs, Andrea is honored to have their trust and friendship. Her work and time living in Japan have provided her with unique insights into Japanese cuisine and culture which will be included in her book TOKYO NEW WAVE.
